Loggerhogger's post of the 4-4-0 posing for it's pictures reminds me of one Lucius Beebe took of Texas & Pacific 4-8-2 # 902 in Weatherford Texas.  The Sunshine Special is stopped for passengers and mail and Beebe let the crew know he was going to take their picture.  The fireman opened the firing valve all the way, turned up the blower and soon the safety let go with a mighty blow and "snap", Beebe took the shot being sure to include his car in the photo..

Nice photo. I'm surprised the flamboyant Beebe would have driven an ordinary sedan. Maybe a Plymouth or Pontiac ?
