Steam & Excursion > Portland's Holiday ExpressDate: 12/01/16 14:44 Portland's Holiday Express Author: nycman Have seen nothing about the first weekend of Portland's Holiday Express operations with 4449. How was the turnout? I am unable to get there to volunteer, and would appreciate any reports.

We have had very good turnouts the first weekend. Several sold out trains. We have more sold out trains already in the coming weekends. Martin Date: 12/01/16 14:51 Re: Portland's Holiday Express Author: EMDSW-1 Understand all trains were sold out or nearly so. This weekend looks very good also.

Always a great fund raiser. Date: 12/01/16 15:13 Re: Portland's Holiday Express Author: NKPBernet HotWater Wrote:

Jack you gunna make it up here this year? -Dave Date: 12/01/16 17:09 Re: Portland's Holiday Express Author: flash34 Everything has gone very well, and yes most or all trips were sold out. But the weather was kinda crappy, so that may be part of the reason for no pictures yet.

1. (Orange and) Black Friday, 12pm run. 2. With a hint of Black Widow, Daylight arriving after the Saturday 11am run. 3. The Sun heard the children laughing and came out to play, 49 departing on the Saturday 3pm run. This is my seventh year and at first I came for the trains, now I come for the friends. We could definitely use some volunteers, even if you cannot help us, do consider volunteering for something you believe in near your area. http://www.orhf.org/membership/orhf-volunteers/ Michael, Portland Date: 12/02/16 09:23 Re: Re:4449 Leading Portland's Holiday Express Author: bigjim4life My jaw literally just dropped at photo #3 - beautiful!!
