Milwaukee Road 261 has completed her first weekend of North Pole Express duties.   Here she is last Saturday night near the end-of-track in St. Paul.   For more info: https://261.com/north-pole-express/

That is a GREAT picture.   Nice promo.   If I lived closer, I would want to go to the North Pole behind 261.

As all the remaining trains are sold out how much did they charge for adults & kids for the 2 mile round trip?? Thanks, Ross Rowland

Sorry, as of a few days ago they hadn't sold out the Thursday and Friday trips yet.

I am not in MN but couldn't they gone further than 2 miles round trip to see Santa? How slow is 261 going?

From what I have been told, that is the extent of St. Paul Union Depot's trackage..... after that it becomes one of
two class ones .....you know how difficult it is to get to operate on one of those.....

That's plenty of speed and time for most kids.  It's about overall experience.
