Steam & Excursion > L&N 152 (4-6-2) in October 1986 Part 2Date: 02/14/17 13:58 L&N 152 (4-6-2) in October 1986 Part 2 Author: MartyBernard Here are 6 more of Roger Puta's photos of a fantrip in Eastern Kentucky in October 1986. If you missed it yesterday, Part 1 gives the introduction and background at http://www.trainorders.com/discussion/read.php?10,4226447
Photos 3 and 4 are classics. The Monon BL2 shown in the last photo was tucked in behind 159. It is still at the Kentucky Railway Museum and, I'm told is still operable. So far nobody has mentioned the status of 159. Enjoy Roger's slides, Marty Bernard Date: 02/14/17 13:59 Re: L&N 152 (4-6-2) in October 1986 Part 2 Author: MartyBernard Date: 02/14/17 14:18 Re: L&N 152 (4-6-2) in October 1986 Part 2 Author: Tominde This is a great set of pics. #3 has the quality of a fine painting. I like having the interior of the coach. Wish we had more of those.

152 is currently being re-built at KRM. The coach interior is ex-SAL 821, a Jim Crow car built in the 1920's that had been part of the Clinchfield steam excursion train. It was donated to the Ky Ry Museum by Seaboard System and later acquired by the Florida Railroad Museum at Parrish, FL and is there now. It is now part of the FRM excursion train that runs on weekends. -JH Date: 02/14/17 21:09 Re: L&N 152 (4-6-2) in October 1986 Part 2 Author: MartyBernard Thanks Panamerican99. Marty
