4014 and 261

Don't know if anyone noticed, but the 261 folks posted on their Facebook page that the UP Steam folks donated all of the grates from 4014 to the 261 organization. Guess those grates will be burning coal after all these years after all.

Based on reading that Facebook post, it's obvious that 261 group is "grateful" for the donation!

Sorry, I couldn't resist.

Yeah but I bet the UP Steam Crew before Ed said "you're welcome" and Ed? I don't think he would even say that!

A WHOLE 4-8-8-4 FIREBOX?
Trying to put THAT into a 4-8-4 would be quite a job,

A seven-jet MB stoker coal distribution array is also a little large.
Would make a better 'spare' for a DM&IR giant Baldwin Beast....
Ill bet the stoker screw is way longer than what the 4-8-4 was buil with, too.

Oh, well. They'll probably load the donated parts  to a gin for shipment...

Not to worry, Ed will cut them in half, then donate the pieces for 2 locomotives.
