Steam & Excursion > SP 2-10-2's waitng for the callDate: 03/20/17 15:03 SP 2-10-2's waitng for the call Author: Barstool Its March 1957 and the location is Tracy...My Buddie Ralph buhr just got his first car and we headed to Tracy to see what may or may not be going on...what we found was 2-10-2's 3670 and 3670 on the wiskers and 4-6-0 2328 inthe house. later in March, 2328 would be sent to Pittsburg for scrap and the 2-10-2's would follow next year to Pittsburg also....Both the 3670 and 3690 spent a lot of time on the shasta division before being sent to Roseville to finish their days.....

T&NO 975, orignally donated to Beaumont, Texas, now at the Illinois Railroad Museum: T&NO 982, originally SP 3651, donated to Houston, Texas. Currently in jeopardy. When you and your buddy traveled to Tracy, were you hoping to find active steam, or did you know that all was dead? |
