Steam & Excursion > Lynn and I

After explaining the story earlier in another post I remembered the photo I mentioned that I have on my smart phone. So I decided to post it here for all to enjoy.
Lynn, Mary and I were always close friends,closer than most normal friends are. The rest of the story is in the previous post.
By the way it was 36 years ago this month that we made the first break in run to LaSalle, Colorado and back with 3985 after the restoration was completed.

March 1981 specifically the 2nd was pretty special if I do say so myself. Great picture of Lynn and yourself Bob

Great picture! Thanks so much for sharing it. Lynn was a super guy. Miss visiting with him once or twice a year.

Love the picture Bob, if I can get a scanner I gotta post the pic I took of you, Lynn, Mary and Steve when 3985 was in LA back in 2000!

Great photo Bob!..Great folks too!..Still Very Thankful for all the efforts to bring these locomotives back to life,for all of us to enjoy!,Plus you guys were very helpful and friendly,when it came to answering questions about the locomotives or movements..even when calling the Steam Shop in Cheyenne!

Very accessible guy when I visited Cheyenne several years ago, and also when UP Steam and him brought the UP 844 to Oakland in 2009.

Yes cchan, as I recall we met down by Owasco, NE on an eastbound trip way back when.

I will always miss traveling to Cheyenne and hearing Lynn say, "You guys here AGAIN??!!" What a wonderful man.
