SP mountain work train at the "loop"

Pure nostalgia now...here is the work train/local at Walong in the summer of 1994......complete with rear end crew.......images captured from my home video 8 footage downloaded to computer hence the grainyness.....i included all the cars in case those who like to model find them of interest.......

rear end crew .......this train is actually pushing upgrade caboose leading hence the lookout crew.....wonder where they are now.....?

Man I remember seeing that train always tied down on that spur track at Woodford over the weekend, and even when SP was having it's bad years, they still kept the loop area in top shape!

That SD40 is a real cinder block! Typical for anything that worked Tehachapi for a while. - Tony J.
