Date: 11/16/05 20:24 Re: Horny DD Author: x6924w These sirens started out on a couple of SDP35s about 1978, then were moved to the 6918 and 6924 in '79. They were removed from both when before returning to service in '84.
Sometime in the mid '70s a UP section gang of 4 men was struck and killed by a train at Don, ID next to the JR Simplot and FMC plants. I think this was one of the attempts to prevent that happening again. Can't remember the exact dates but I do remember watching a video of a recreation in switchman class in April 79 in Pocatello. |
