Of course the depot is long gone as well as all the structures on the right. I had just returned from serving two years in the Army as a photographer in South America so this was a real change for me. Somehow its just not quite the same up here anymore.

The local Bakersfield weather forecaster said yesterday that "...Kern County is now in a moderate drought right now.
