Nostalgia & History > Chicago in the winter time Burrrrrrrrrrrrr! Part 5Date: 07/22/06 06:43 Chicago in the winter time Burrrrrrrrrrrrr! Part 5 Author: SP6190 The next morning I headed up to Rondout. I didnt have to wait long for my first train. Here comes the 46 on the point of a commuter that will be making a left turn after crossing over to the south bound main just beyond the station platform. The commuter was followed by a north bound with three GP38s led by the 353.

Part 5 Author: SP6190 Heading back south I caught another north bound Milwaukee commuter at Northbrook, this time with a E9 on the point. The bridge in the background with the train on it, is the CNW freight line to Milwaukee. At Des Plaines on the CNW Northwest line, three GP35s were on a empty auto parts train heading back into town.
