There was a multi-car RDC service daily, a couple of freights and a lot of coal still coming out of Sydney. The steel mill was still sending plumes of pollution. Cape Breton Development Corp had a really clean fleet of green diesels pulling long strings of hoppers. I would have been nice to explore that operation further. All fairly quiet now east of the canal but there is some coal contracts pending for the power plant where the Sydney coal used to go.
