The EMD SD70 Demonstrators work eastbound with a stack train on the ATSF Clovis Subdivision at Kayser, NM on August 28, 1993. The clouds in the background are remnant's of a hurricane that made landfall over Baja. The little bit of sun we see here is about all that we saw that week.

July of '97 and the 7002 is on the point of a rock train loading at Palmer,Alaska. The logos on
the cab have almost faded away, but the paint is still nice. This set was testing on the ARR prior
to the ordering of their 4000's. The 7000's went to CSX.

CSX has them and all the SD70M lease units.
I think that there is at least one Demo left
unpainted, all the others are in CSX paint.

That's a great (almost) whole train photo, just like many on your web site. It was even taken on my birthday, back when I was only........Um! ... well 13 years younger.

Now operating in the Bone Valley part of Central Florida.Around here you can see them in YN3,both demo colors and YN2 paint.

How come thay have change the cab soooo much from this beautyfull type to the addon bits off the new type, yours snoopy

I believe there are still two in the EMD paint, atleast there were last year. CSXT 4675 was EMD 7000 and CSXT 4677 was EMD 7002.
