I see you have a B-Unit third back. Was this Unit involve a wreck? I don't recall seeing to many B units from Alcos & MLWs. Beautiful picture.

That's BCR #RCL683 - an MLW M420B. BCR bought 8 of the cabless units 1975 and had them set up as locotrol masters (RCL= Remote Control Locomotive). In this view, likely, the 683 and the trailing C425 #811, were somewhere buried in the train when it left Prince George the day before. Often, they would have a big set out in Squamish (not far north of this location) and if it worked out, they put the remote set up front for the water level run to North Vancouver.

There's a couple of unique units in this photo. RCL 683 and C425 #811 both wear the odd high straight band scheme used in the late 70's early 80's before the railway returned to the lightning bolt. The 683 was the only M420B painted that way and 811 the only C425 done that way.
