I was up in Sacto and Stockton when the SP loco went down to San Diego and I saw the 347C in the shops at San Berdoo prior to that. I was teaching a safe driving course for the ATSF at the time so I was traveling all over the state. Several weeks after your photo or maybe one week, I caught the 347C, DIT, out on the Mojave Sub on its way back to the Museum. I chased it from Crammer Jct to Boron, and got some cool video. Man, the memories.

Date: 11/06/09 09:36 Re: One for Warbonnet Wednesday... Author: iliketrains It was in a yard about 1/2 mile south (railroad east) of Old Town in San Diego. It was a huge event for the Pacific Southwest Railway Museum in San Diego County (Campo). PSRM brought down steam locomotives and old diesel-electrics, as well as featuring a passenger train up the then (and now) San Diego trolley mainline. Great fun! The preparation for the event was unbelievable for an all volunteer group. Many active museum members were recruited at this event.
