1908 Official Railway Guide on Google Books
Author: jofegan

Hi folks.

I found this on Google Books (if you are located in the US you can download the entire book). The scanned copy is of so-so quality, but it is very readable and offers good insight to all of the roads in 1908, the latest available issue for full download.

Enjoy.

Thanks SO MUCH for posting this. What a great link! I love old ORGs and the problem, of course, is that the pages turn to dust as you peruse and study them. Thanks!

Yes, thanks much for the link. I downloaded the Guide and have already found some interesting stuff in it. I'm going to try to convert it to a searchable PDF, but it will probably be a whopper of a file.

There's more Guides at Google Books!

--the 1903 Travelers' railway guide, Western section (formerly the Rand-McNally railway ...‎ Some 600 pages -- it was a competitor of the ORG.

OR
--the 1881 The Official railway guide: North American freight service edition‎
Which if you go thru it has much if not all the passenger info in it.

I'd love to find more--freebies that is.

There are several sellers who offer ORG's on CD'S [I ordered 5 from one of them and they're fine].
i got 5 on 1 DVD from Taplines - eBay store a year ago. These are manageable PDF's--$13 per guide or ask about multi on one DVD [best deal].

Another seller is http://www.dougsrrshop.com/officialguide.htm
Doug apparently offers jpgs instead of PDF's. $16 per Guide--less for multi.
