I hope this is in a museum somewhere? If so where. I would like to see it.

Hey SierraRail, Do you have a date for this photo? I have a photo of the same car with a single axle up front that was taken by the late Henry Brueckman in the early 1960's.

Attached is Henry's photo, along with a piece of artwork I used to illustrate an article I wrote for the October 1981 issue of Smoke Signals - the monthly magazine of the Pontiac-Oakland Club International.

Cheers,
Jack

The first photo shows a spot light and backup lights. The last photo, with the single axle, does not show the "light package". Different era or different car? Either way, I wish I had one :P

Adam, if you look closely at Henry's photo the backup light can just barely be discerned as a "black blob" right where it should be. I do not know what happened to the drivers side spot light.

With any luck, I will be able to locate Henry's original slide in a couple of days, and perhaps shed some more "light" on the subject. Sorry, I just had to say that...

Cheers,
Jack

Jack, now that I've tilted my screen a little, the blob is clearly there. As a matter of fact, everything looks better. Thanks!

Also, if you look at the later picture, you can see the chrome stalk the spot was mounted on.

Oops. After looking at the color version, that's a tree trunk.
