Back when steam still ruled the Reading two trains are seen at the Reading's Outer Station in Reading, Pa. Pacific 215 is less than four years old at the time.

My late grandpop has a yellow aged Reading newspaper from February
22, 1978. The day after this station burned. Reportedly the station
was already out of service for trains. We lost a historic gem.

The locomotive photos are great. Were the 200 series steam engines
exclusively for passenger use?

Yes, Aaron, the Outer Station was closed for revenue service circa 1968-69.

Right again. Also, the Reading's G-3 engines were the very last Pacifics ever built in the United States.
