Hulett Ore Unloaders
Author: isw1710

I am a member of a group trying to start a new concept transportation museum in Northeast Ohio. As a fund raising project we are creating up to 100 units of a 1:48 scale fully working model of the Hulett Ore Unloaders that operated on Whiskey Island in Cleveland.
We would like to communicate with any former Hulett operator or anyone who worked on a Hulett to gather living history information for our new museum and as background on the Hulett model. We also have hundreds of photos but are always looking for "unpublished" photos taken by train fans over the years of Hulett operations along the Great Lakes.
Any input will be greatly appreciated.

I know it is the wrong scale....
But --Walthers Models is selling HO Scale Hulett Loader's.
They are plenty big also!

Fascinating,

The probabilities of selling 100 Hullets in 1/4" are about as good
as seeing one resurrected for service. Ambitious project but fund
raisers are for a self-named purpose, lack of sales kills such things.
