few more from '77 . .

. . express trip across the country. See below posts for more. These three are from around Corbin, KY, not only home to the countrys first Kentucky Fried Chicken but base of operations for L&N coal country and L&N's version of PC Mingo Jct where anything and every thing six axle could be found on coal trains. Two of these were in my '77 reject box the first of which is a three builder lashup. All taken close to Corbin.

Great Pictures! I never realized Seaboard Coastline had speaker horns as seen on the first picture, maybe it was only on passenger engines as this looks like an SDP-35. The second engine in the second picture also looks like an SDP-35 but it has a regular horn.

Hancock 4700 Air Whistle. Sounded like steam locomotive whistle.

Wow,

that Hancock 3 chime with its sound reflector bowl is a rare thing to see
on an class one RR EMD hood unit.
