Nostalgia & History > Signal Sunday - one from the BNDate: 05/22/11 13:45 Signal Sunday - one from the BN Author: railwayman69 Here is one from my dad's collection, taken in July 1979 of a BN southbound train at Tacoma, WA. pausing under a signal bridge. We had chased this train from Auburn and it stopped in Tacoma to do some switching. The signal bridge was located just to the south end of the Tacoma yard and north of Union Station. There use to be a grade crossing just north of the curve at this location (a bridge overpass is there today). I can't remember if my dad was standing at a grade crossing in the foreground of this photo or not. The consist for this train were two GP10's, F9B and F7A.
