Great shots. At the risk of being picky, your first shot of the eastbound CN is not in the Fraser (note correct spelling) Canyon but is east of Lytton (Lasha) in the canyon of the "Thompson" River. The Thompson joins the Fraser river about two miles west of here at Lytton.

The area of your photo is sometimes referred to as the "White Canyon" of the Thompson to differentiate it from the "Black Canyon" which is apprx twenty miles upstream just west of Ashcroft B.C.

Enjoyed your photo's......sorry for the nit-pick.

Thanks for the correction. I was trying to go from memory and I shot that pic about 50 years ago. I scanned it from an old slide with no info on it.

Your first photo is a stunner. Beautiful colour and sharpness. I'm impressed at the quality you were able to get from a scanned slide. I've never been able to achieve such good results. Maybe it's time for me to upgrade my equipment. Can you let us know what scanner you used?

The EMD 7020 is still chugging along in the Bone Valley phosphate area
of Florida as a CSX unit.

Thanks for the note. The scanner is a Nikon 5000. It's no longer made.

Thanks Ron and Don. Well, work has been keeping me quite busy but I've been lurking in here from time to time. I finally decided that paying trains is more important that working so I'm back in here again.
