OK,Tony Thompson, any idea where this is? One of my very first RR shots taken with a 616 Kodak box camera.
Before SP painted the smoke box silver. [ Circa 1944 ]

It kinda looks like Eucalyptus trees in the background. If so, they I'd say somewhere on the S.F. Bay Area. The cut doesn't look familiar. Maybe near the wye in Santa Cruz? Just a guess.

I also was thinking the same as you, but I'm wondering if it might be somewhere just south of Colma.

I agree, John Daly BLVD way before BART when the construction company was still getting materials at the corner of 19th ave. Looks very familiar, only 50 years ago for me.
