Angle and curve are appropriate for Savanna IL, crossing the ICE (ex MILW) north (west) bound, before the bikeway bridge was constructed, but I believe that has always been double tracked, or at least for longer than the date of this photo. I'll keep thinking.

Crawford, WI south of Prairie du Chien. Train is southbound crossing the WSOR (ex MILW) and has come off the double track across the diamond to enter single track for the WI river bridge before it was double tracked. The photographer is standing between the BNSF main and the WSOR interchange.
