SP7319 west on Calimus Hill

SP7319 leads a variety of power as it rolls down Calimus Hill toward Klamath Falls Oregon. I think I took this shot in the early 1990's. This location is about 35 rail miles north of Klamath Falls.

Hard to tell, but looks like normal ponderosa pine.

Redwoods are either on the coast, or in the Sierras

There were stories that the Local Indian Nation wanted this area closed off. I'd be curious if there has been any recent info on that.
I tend to avoid this road because of the excessive dust during the summer and mud during the off seasons. But if they ran a few more SP painted consists I'd be there, interesting area.
