Date: 11/14/12 10:19 Re: Daylight Author: timz2 If it's on the Millbrae curve, must be
the Morning Daylight. Date: 11/14/12 21:06 Re: Daylight Author: fmaffei timz2
Nope, NOON Daylight. Check shadows,Daylight saving time +/-. Camera pointing Northwest. Date: 11/15/12 01:57 Re: SP Noon Daylight Author: sp3811 I'm wondering if the Morning Daylight could have been running extremely late. I know little of shadows in Millbrae but am sure I detect the outline of a baggage elevator on the baggage chair car. This would mean it was one of two of 1939 cars which were exclusively assigned to the Morning Daylight. Also, most if not all of the pictures I've seen depicting the Noon Daylight around this time showed it not carrying a baggage-chair car at all, but rather a streamstyled 70 foot Harriman full baggage car with an altered roof and partial skirts.
Just my take on it. sp3811 Date: 11/15/12 14:20 Re: SP Noon Daylight Author: timz2 If it's the Noon Daylight it's 18-20 hours late.
As you know, noon sun (PST or PDT) can't shine on the north side of a train at the east end of the Millbrae curve. |
