Nostalgia & History > an Oroville Thanksgiving . .Date: 11/22/12 07:44 an Oroville Thanksgiving . . Author: 3rdswitch . . spent Thanksgiving weekend in 1972 with a friend up in Oroville, CA fanning the WP. Had Thanksgiving dinner at the Thrifty diner in Oroville back when Thrifty had diners. A couple of shots of power sitting around Oroville yard and at last light a westbound Hiline train nearing the north end of the yard. Hope all have a very Happy Thanksgiving!

We probably got in your way somewhere up there as a friend and I were also up there that Thanksgiving weekend. We also had turkey in Oroville that evening, but I don't remember it being at Thrifty's. Some other restaurant that was about to close. Was a great weekend!
