Need Help With a Conrail Location.
Author: RDG5308

This is a slide in my collection, but there is no location recorded on it. Does anyone recognize where this is?
Thanks,
Charlie

Looks like Emmaus to me.

Not Emmaus, to many tracks. Could it be Stowe, just north of Pottstown, PA?

It's a location know as "Morado"(sp) on the Ft Wayne Line near Beaver Falls, Pa. That center siding was used a lot in servicing the large B&W Tubular works off to the left of the trains. Both trains are eastbound.

Thanks Roger, that's it. I found that location as Morado Park on Google Earth.

No problem Dale. I passed through this area a lot when working the road between Cleveland and Conway. I also did some side work for a scrapper tearing out the rail lines inside the old tube plant. Some of those old ties were mush from the acid that leaked out of the scrap gons years ago. That mill complex was almost 2 miles long!
