The View From the Balcony.

While already in the BN era, this NP SD45 was still carryin' her original number and livery. We were "pausing" just west of Aurora, IL. to let the suburban train (Dinky) dust settle before there would be enough room ta let us come through.

Now that is an interesting perspective. I can imagine that sometimes that "pause" west of Aurora could be for quite awhile, eh?

Neat photo! That's some serious superelevation in that curve, definitely set up for fast running Zephyrs, Builders and North Coast Limited's.

Hard to tell that the rear of that unit is yellow. Needed a wash bad. Anymore photos of that unit?

Been through Mullan and Stampede Tunnels a few too many times since the last wash!
