The website for the above picture does not give the location.

E-bay has for sale a Colorado Midland Railway Railroad Advertisement Poster 1917 RR Lake George Flower [Excursion]. The picture on the top of the Poster is the same a picture 1. If you put your cursor on the picture on the E-bay website it magnifies that portion of the picture. If you put your cursor on the upper left hand portion of the picture you can read “Wildflower Excursion via Lake George, Colorado.” If you put your cursor on the upper right had portion of the picture you can read “Daily One Hundred and Twenty Mile Scenic Trip $1.50.”

The website says, “Sale ends in 16 hours.”, so I don’t know if the picture of the poster will be up after today.

Perhaps the 120 miles is roundtrip. Perhaps the distance by rail from Colorado Springs to Lake George is 60 miles.

From a Google Map the distance from Colorado Springs, Colorado to Lake George, Colorado is 38.8 miles.

Lake George is a man-made lake made by the Colorado Midland Railway so they could harvest ice in the wintertime for use by the railroad.

The following website has pictures of Lake George and of the Lake George Ice House.

Nice memory of the wildflower excursions of the past. Does anyone remember the Tehachapi wildflower specials?

120 miles is difficult to explain. The CM timetable puts Lake George at 40.3 miles from Colorado Springs, and as 115 miles from Denver via the C&S.
