Possibly Fox River, Wisconsin?

Next to Hen House Station!!...

The Terrain looks more like Fox Mountain, Colorado.

Hi,

This is Fox, Alaska on the Tanana Valley Ry. later the Alaska RR. The narrow gauge was
abandoned in 1930.

Fox is a bit north of Fairbanks.

After reading west’s reply I did a Google search for Fox, Alaska and got the following webpage,

On the Wikipedia webpage was the same picture as Picture 1 above but in a very large format. The Wikipedia picture was labeled, Trains of the Tanana Valley Railroad at the station in Fox, Alaska in 1916.

I used Microsoft Office Picture Manager and cropped the portion of the Wikipedia picture with the people and adjusted the brightness and contrast and got Picture 2 below.
