The locomotive is currently stored by the CSRM in the former SP Shops in Sacramento.

Seven of these little engines were built in Sacramento by the Central Pacific in 1881 under the management of Master Mechanic Andrew Jackson Stephens. They were used on the SP's commute operations in Oakland and Alameda until most of the lines were electrified.
