mFile: C&NW Alco RS3 whereizit from 1969

C&NW RS3 #1555 working a small yard somewhere ... I shot this on Aug. 11, 1969, but location not noted.

I'm going to guess Mankato, MN based on the track layout and sand tower.

I know I was not near Lander, Wy. I was somewhere in the Midwest, on a trip from Colorado, to shoot pictures in the Twin Cities.

Here is a picture near the Mankato engine facility in 2007. About 80 miles southwest of the Twin Cities.

I doubt the 1555 would have worked as far west as Lander or Fremont, but it could have happened.

just found a shot I took of GN roundhouse in Minneapolis on 8/10/69, my C&NW pic was taken the next day.

Definitely not East Minneapolis, West Minneapolis, or the yard on the river flats near Chestnut Street. Could possibly be East St Paul.
