Frisco Baldwin Swicher

On Bloomington, Illinois west side was the Gulf, Mobile & Ohio's classification yards. Over the years I've seen many changes and many different things pass through including this Frisco Baldwin switcher en route to be traded in on new power around forty years ago. Footboards, poling pockets, how times have changed!

Diesels From Eddystone catalogs this as VO-1000 built in June, 1946.

Yeah, but some engines still have that grab iron that holds the MU hoses, and nobody ever uses that as a step. LOL
