Nostalgia & History > Working the SP-WP interchange in RenoDate: 04/16/14 06:42 Working the SP-WP interchange in Reno Author: Copy19 The interchange between the Western Pacific in Reno, Nev. with the Southern Pacific main line was an interesting maze of track. The WP branch, a former narrow gauge, came down an alley and made a sharp curve. That's it in the picture going off to the left over the diamond. The SP Alco switcher seems to have boxcars spread all over the interchange to sort things out. I suspect the trench through the area has dramatically changed this scene today.
