few SP . .
Author: 3rdswitch

. . probably reposts from one time or other.
top: SP ran alot of "haulers" in the Los Angeles basin and liked to use sets of like power on them. Here a quartet of ex passenger service SDP45's are leading the Anaheim Hauler approaching Anaheim, CA 7-86.
middle: An extra Sunday Torrance switcher has just tied up next to the Armco plant in downtown Torrance, CA 3-85. Of course everything is this shot except the street is now gone.
bottom: A quartet of newer power is leading a westbound "extra" of 125 empty Santa Fe copper concentrate hoppers from the Kaiser Bulk facility in San Pedro on SP's exPacific Electric Wilmington Branch near Dominguez Jct in Carson, CA 9-85.

Great set JB.

Note the 3209 has its P5r24 Nathan chime horn.

Wonderful catch!

Unfortunately all the years on the 3209, it didn't sound that great. The 3205 and 3206 with Nathan M5 horns sounded the best!

My observations from riding behind all of them in commute service in the 1970's and early 80s until the Cal Train F40s appeared.

Reposts, I never saw them. And a good photo is worth a second look.

Excellent photos, JB. Love the four SDP's in the first shot.
