Nostalgia & History > Do You Remember When BNSF Heritage 1 Were New!Date: 04/23/14 06:24 Do You Remember When BNSF Heritage 1 Were New! Author: Sneebly In October 1996 I was liking what I saw of the brand new BNSF paint scheme. Here are a couple of views of 976 at Mid America Car in KC with spotless new paint. Notice in the background the KCS F unit. I just wished that they would not of done Heritage 2 or the power wedgie.
Sneebly Date: 04/23/14 08:31 Re: Do You Remember When BNSF Heritage 1 Were New! Author: Pacific5th I like it! I think that the h2/3 with a solid yellow stripe like the H1 would look really good, kinda like what they put on the GP's and older SD's.

Author: KSmitty Had a few chances to see H1 -9's on oil trains here in Maine. Compared to the swoosh and H2's these were sweet, always went out of the way to shoot them. Definitely the best BNSF scheme.

It makes a big difference. Yea, the H2 to me wasn't the best in my opinion. The H3 units today is pretty nice though. But still the H1 is the original. Now I wish HU's website would put the remaining units on. |
