C&NW(CStPMO)/MILW depot, May 1973 @ Sheldon, IA. Looks like it's still there when checking Google Earth.

Pretty cool spot. The interlocking is gone but there are still plenty of tracks around.

Neat shot V, of the dual order boards. I'm thinking the lower-quadrant set is the CNW's for track running mostly horizontal through the image. The MILW's are the upper-quadrant set and the appropriate rails. Both sets of rails look to be pretty well buried in the prairie.. IIRC, didn't the IC(G)'s Cherokee-Sioux Falls line cross at an angle across both the CNW and MILW, probably behind the depot here by a few hundred feet?

Yes, but it was more than 100' for the MILW/IC/G crossing, actually a couple of blocks to the east. The IC/G crossed the CNW about 100' to the north of the depot, though.

Perhaps we should note that two of the three railroads at this crossing
are still with us. The CNW, former CMStP&O, now UP, and the CMStP&P, now
CP with several recent antecedents are still there, although I think the
CP is stubbed east of the crossing. Only the ICG, it's former Sioux Falls
branch, is gone.
