More than a few of his posts have suggested he was happily taking photos back in the day.

I understand why they do it, but it would be a lot nicer off center someplace. Generally the center of the photo is what the photographer wanted you to see, and with my old eyes, the watermark turns the whole center of the photo into unrecognizable hash, pretty much completely destroying the point of looking at the image in the first place.
