Here are four more pictures.

1. LMX B39-8E 8587 and BN B30-78AB 4025 look ready at Lincoln, NE on July 4, 1991.

2. A BN engineer takes LMX 8506 and 8580 with an intermodal train though Brookfield, IL on June 19, 1991. The track in the foreground is a ramp down to the IHB interchange.

3. ATSF SD40-2 5140, LMX B39-8E 8580, and EMDX SD40-2 6309 (ex-SOO/Milw) roll a train at W. Crocket, AZ on October 29, 1994.

Those things were in lease service until around 2007 or later on the UPRR. Considerably faded, and thank God, in trailing unit status!!! Good pix!!! I just wonder if they are still in service...probably so...

There are a couple on the Texas-New Mexico RR. Not a pretty sight.

All but one parts engine that was not in shape to move are now at San Luis Rio Grande (replaced by SD40s). There is also one in D&H colors at Saratoga and North Creek.
