This is a nice photo showing the SP many of us remember. Question; which direction are you looking in this photo? The snow-clad mountain in the background looks like 8098 ft Mt. Linn (also known as South Yolla Bolly Peak), the highest mountain in the Coast Range west of the Sacramento Valley and frequently snow-covered during winter and early spring. The mountain in question is west of Gerber on the Shasta Route. Thanks for the help...

This view is looking east at the extreme north end of the Sierra Nevada range.
