few Alaska . . .
Author: 3rdswitch

. . from my one and only trip to the 49th state in June '94;
top: The daily Fairbanks to Anchorage passenger train was near Birchwood.
middle: Alaska's Seward to Healy coal empty with some additional freight on the head end was following Turnagain Arm near Bird.
bottom: The daylight Anchorage yard job was returning from the Airport Spur with twenty empty fuel cars near Anchorage yard.

Wonderful shots, JB. I would love to visit that state someday. Just curious, do you remember what time of day it was when you took these? In the land of the midnight sun, I have always wondered how the light is real early in the morning or late at night. Thanks for posting these.

You can shoot all day and night. Hard part is breaking off the chase to go eat before the store closes:)
