Nostalgia & History > Grande Gold F's on the C&S - 1970Date: 08/30/14 09:15 Grande Gold F's on the C&S - 1970 Author: valmont Took this shot on Feb. 2, 1970 @ Boulder, CO ... this was C&S territory then, and train is northbound. I think back then the C&S called it westbound. D&RGW F's showed up on the C&S for a while, often during the fall sugar beet harvest,but usually with C&S or CB&Q power mixed in. Those impressive mountains in the background are called the Flatirons, and form the backdrop for the city of Boulder.
