Nostalgia & History > Miss Katy in ActionDate: 09/14/14 08:45 Miss Katy in Action Author: BNSFDS While converting the video footage fellow railfan Mike Gitlin gave me prior to his passing a few years ago, I came across some classic Katy video of a couple of southbound freights passing through the Metroplex suburb of Burleson. I'm guessing this video was shot back in the spring of 1988, just months prior to the Katy's merger into the Union Pacific system. You'll see Katy mixed freight train number 103 that has a Georgetown Railroad GP10 in the consist followed by loaded coal train CBL-3 that's headed to the LCRA power plant in Halsted, Texas.
