Nostalgia & History > Empire Builders Meet at Bowdoin, MT (summer 1972)Date: 09/15/14 18:15 Empire Builders Meet at Bowdoin, MT (summer 1972) Author: the_expediter I'm onboard #7, the westbound Empire Builder. We're in the hole waiting for our eastbound counterpart...The excitement builds, and I wonder if a mean crew member will drive me from my perch. Wait, I'm only a 17 year old teen. I don't know any better!

Steve Ha, ha - thanks for sharing these wonderful photos again, I had forgotten about them. And I certainly forgot that I had anything to do with helping identify the location until I did a search and found my post from nine years ago! Where's Mr. MRL when you need him...

Havre and Glasgow, MT based passenger enginemen worked between their home terminals.

Actually looking at Google Earth, it looks almost exactly the same. Elevator is still there, siding and road are all still in the same place. Telegraph line is probably gone, but very little else has changed. Google Earth views are quite interesting though. Appears to have been quite the RR spot in the past. Complete with large yard, roundhouse, and Wye??
