WAAAY overdue for some TP&W on here!

This week, a peek inside the shops at East Peoria from November 1980:

1. GP18 600 and SW1500 304 (which would eventually be sold together to Vermont Railway) wait out a quiet Sunday afternoon. Come the morning the machinists and electricians will resume tending to their ills.

2. C424 801. She lives on today as Morristown & Erie 19.

3. One track over from the 304 and 600, GP38-2 2003 waits for a little lovin' of its own.

Nice work, NZ... Hey, didn't one of those switchers--I'm thinking the 303-- go to NASA?!? I know that sounds weird, but thought that's what happened to it.

Actually, besides the 304, all the other SW1500s (303, 305, 306) went to NASA. AFAIK, still there.
