Yes, Bruce Black got two trains from this vantage point on Mar. 22, 1964.

the Engine crew worked out of Manly but the Train crew worked out of Cedar Rapids. zr190 Date: 10/24/14 18:07 Re: Rock varnish, same spot as my MILW post yesterday Author: mns019 My guess is that this is the Kansas City train, my reasoning is that the KC train regularly handled mail storage cars on the head end, the St. Louis train did not. Also seems like you had a 50-50 chance of seeing a CBQ E on the Zephyr Rocket. My father was an RPO clerk on the Zephyr Rocket (RPO crews changed at Burlington) to the end....I rode this train often and usually got a cab ride from St. Paul to Mpls.
