N&W 2-8-0 #884 - too good to pass up

I'm not a N&W fan, per se, but I could not pass up purchasing the scratchy old negative of Class W-2 #884 that produced what you see here. I don't have the photo info handy, but I think that it was shot circa 1940, possibly in Roanoke. It's of the same class as that 2-8-0 that sat with several other locos in a Roanoke scrap yard for nearly six decades, before being rescued.

Just another gritty, grimy and gloomy day.
