A Milwaukee Road Passenger Train near SPUD, 1964

The date was June 6, 1964 and I'm on the bluff just west of St. Paul Union Depot. It is well into the blue hour. I somehow manager two just passable photos with out a tripod. My notes say this is the Afternoon Hiawatha.

St. Paul based train crews worked those Milwaukee Road passenger trains between Minneapolis and Milwaukee, WI St. St. Paul based passenger engine crews worked between St. Paul and La Crosse, WI.

The Afternoon Hiawatha was due out of St Paul for Minneapolis at 7:30 pm.
