CNW SD40-2's at KC in 1988 on the Santa Fe

Two closely-numbered SD40-2's lead what I'm guessing is an Argentine transfer at KC in 1988. I'm not from KC and my mental notes don't include much info on this one.

I am thinking this a through freight out of the Cotton Belt or Katy. By 1988, the former CGW Yard in the West Bottoms was abandoned and whatever traffic destined for Kansas City was delivered directly to the various yard directly.
